Comparative Adjectives*

 

Objective

To transform words, eg changing tenses: ed, ing; negation: un, im, il; making comparatives; er, est, ish; changing verbs to nouns, eg ion, ism, ology: nouns to verbs; ise, ify, en

 

When we use adjectives, we can make comparisons. We can say: that flower is big, but this one is bigger. By adding 'er' we are comparing. Note that we also use the doubling rule as well, adding another 'g'. Change these adjectives by adding 'er' and remembering other spelling rules as well.
