Superlatives*

Objective

To transform words, eg changing tenses: ed, ing; negation: un, im, il; making comparatives; er, est, ish; changing verbs to nouns, eg ion, ism, ology: nouns to verbs; ise, ify, en

When we use adjectives, we can make comparisons. We can say: that flower is big, but this one is bigger. By adding 'er' we are comparing. We can also add 'est' to the end of the adjective; this is known as the superlative. Put in the correct superlative, remembering your spelling rules - watch for the tricky ones.
